who.what.where.when.why WEDNESDAY

Yes, you caught me. I've slacked on the bloggity blog blog blog. But have no fear, I'm still here!

Okay, so following true to my fun question of the day, I am hosting the who.what.where.when.why of Wednesday. This is where I will answer the who, what, where, when, why of the most frequently asked questions I receive related to my business.

Today let's start with the #1 WHY question:
WHY DON'T YOU USE OTHER MUSIC ON YOUR WEBSITE, like some of the most popular music that we hear?

ANSWER:
That's because, like photographs, music has copyright laws that we, the public and listeners need to abide by. Musicians must first give permission for others to use their music for their business or anything they would profit off of. Just as you cannot enter images taken by me as your own in photo competitions/contests, or alter, crop or otherwise distort my images as I possess complete control of my images and their appearances... musicians also possess the same rights. So while "it's a wonderful life" or something by Jack Johnson or any other famous and tearjerking song you hear might suit a photographers slideshow of images on their website - it's very illegal unless you have purchased the COPYRIGHT to the music.

I hope this answers one of the famous "Why's" of Wednesday questions I so often am asked. :) Have a Happy Wednesday! And also, have you found and joined the KSP fanpage on facebook?
